History:
"The Waterbury "Rosedale" was a wall regulator clock, also identified as the Regulator No. 4, produced around 1881. It is known for its ornate Eastlake-style walnut case, 8-day time-only movement, and decorative elements."
"Case: The clock's most distinguishing feature is its elegant, solid walnut case, made in the Eastlake style which was popular during the Victorian era. It is often described as having "a bushel of style points," with features such as spool rails, turned columns, and a stylish decorative bottom."
"Movement: The Rosedale used an 8-day, time-only movement. This type of regulator movement is built for accuracy over an extended period. It also featured a deadbeat escapement and maintaining power, ensuring continued function while winding. A version using two weights to power the movement was also produced."
